First post: Friday August 1!

Okay, first I want to thank Gary Hicklin, because his blog (www.pedalscience.blogspot.com) inspired us to do this!

A picture is worth 1,000 words, isn't it?

So,here is....WALMART, Chinese style. Those are shrimp and fish. They also had live fish, frogs, turtles and crabs.

Shopping is truly a different experience here, and we love it!

Hi Suji -

I'm so excited to hear you're in HK, though a little late - we left there Aug 2 after a two week stay! I had needed an Asia fix - we took Brendan Ziebarth along - remember Beth? We did thr touristy things plus more - Lantau's Big Buddha, New Territories, Macau, etc. We stayed with a cousin at 109 Repulse Bay - the Peninsula-managed property with the big square cut-out (feng shui purposes). Amazing place and view, but clearly ex-pat. We enjoyed being there, but also our local adventures! I have an excellent framer, Georgeous Arts and Crafts, near Man Mo temple. Let me know if you're interested. Terrific work and quite reasonable. Let me know what you're up to, where you're living, etc. What a great experience for all of you. I envy you - HK is my favorite city in the world! Best from TSA - Barb T.

Do they have the geriatric greeters at that WalMart? Katie wants to know if you can still get those Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen clothes there? It "don't" look like the Walmart here in A-mari-ca. "Them ferners shur know how to mess up a good thang!"
